Kagan Strategies

Teachers in the Knox County Public Schools have been trained on Kagan strategies for engaging students in the classroom.

With Kagan, teachers create full student engagement with Kagan Structures—simple yet powerful cooperative learning instructional strategies. Supported by a large body of scientific research, and proven effective in countless classrooms, schools, and districts, this revolutionary way to teach is transforming teaching and learning.

Teachers using Twitter are encouraged to follow Kagan at @kaganonline and participate in their #kaganchat opportunities throughout the year.

If you would like more information about Kagan, including notification of upcoming training opportunities, please contact our professional development coordinator Stacy Imel at stacy.imel@knox.kyschools.us.
